Our Second Online Meeting of the SUSTAIN Project Was Successfully Completed!

The second online transnational meeting of our Erasmus+ project SUSTAIN – Sustainable Tourism and Sustainable Understanding of Integrated Nature(KA’210 VET) was successfully completed with the active participation of all project partners.
During the meeting, partners reviewed the progress of the project and exchanged ideas on the main themes of climate change, sustainable tourism, carbon footprint reduction, energy efficiency, ecotourism, and the protection of local natural and cultural resources. The discussions provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen our shared understanding of how sustainable tourism can be integrated into vocational education and classroom practice.
The meeting also focused on the expected educational outcomes of the project. Partners emphasized the importance of raising awareness of sustainable tourism within the framework of SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production and SDG 13: Climate Action. In this context, the project aims to support teachers in developing innovative and practical lesson plans that address climate change, environmental responsibility, and sustainable tourism practices.
Another key point of the meeting was the development of strategies for transferring green skills to students more effectively through education. Partners discussed how digital tools and online platforms can be used to teach sustainability topics in engaging and meaningful ways. The meeting also contributed to the planning of concrete classroom applications and student-centred project ideas related to environmentally friendly tourism.
In addition, the partnership reflected on how real-life examples, field observations, and case studies can be transformed into educational content. These contributions will support the preparation of innovative teaching modules and a student-oriented guide that will help promote environmentally responsible tourism practices.
This online meeting marked another important step in the SUSTAIN project, strengthening cooperation among partners and reinforcing our common commitment to greener education and a more sustainable future.
