SUSTAIN Project Featured in the Local Press in Brăila
International mobility in Spain highlighted by regional media

The SUSTAIN project was recently featured in the local press in Brăila, Romania, following the participation of teachers from Colegiul Economic “Ion Ghica” Brăila in the Erasmus+ mobility activity organised in León, Spain, from 4 to 8 May 2026.

A mobility focused on sustainability and climate awareness

The activity, titled “Explore with Climate Consciousness,” was carried out within the framework of the SUSTAIN – Sustainable Tourism and Sustainable Understanding of Integrated Nature project. It focused on sustainable tourism, environmental awareness, and innovative educational approaches that support greener vocational education practices.

Learning from good practices

During the mobility, the participants joined seminars and exchanges on:

climate change and sustainable development,
reducing carbon footprint,
renewable energy practices,
green tourism models,
digital tools in education and tourism promotion.

The programme also included visits to eco-tourism centres, protected natural areas, and cultural sites, providing participants with valuable opportunities to explore real-life examples of sustainable community development.

Dissemination and impact

The publication of this experience in the local press represents an important dissemination step for the SUSTAIN project. It contributes to raising awareness of the project’s aims, increasing local visibility, and sharing good practices with a broader audience.

Towards a greener future

Through international cooperation and field-based learning, SUSTAIN continues to promote sustainable tourism, innovative education, and the professional development of teachers across partner countries.
